I specialize in working with women.  I have years of experience working with anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, codependency, grief and loss, relationships and other adjustments in life.  I work with various stages of life and consider helping women as a great privilege and joy.

Therapeutic Modalities

 

Cognitive Behavioral

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)  helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.



 

 

 

Psychodynamic

 

The goals of psychodynamic therapy are increasing one's self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

The goals of IFS therapy are to help people identify and accept the different parts of themselves and heal the parts that are wounded. 




EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a mind-body technique that helps clients gain voluntary control over certain body functions that are involuntary (i.e. heartrate) which can decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Therapy is a one-way relationship where the therapist is focused on supporting you and pouring into you.  In our current culture where women are constantly giving, therapy can fill an emotional tank that is empty giving women energy to fulfill their various roles.
